Burch speaks at Commonwealth SC's College Night
Camp director and Centre College Men's Soccer Coach Jeb Burch joined coaches from the University of Louisville, University of Kentucky, and Georgetown College, on behalf of the Commonwealth Soccer Club's College night at Lexington Christian Academy. The panel helped explain the college recruiting process between NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA programs. The Commonwealth Soccer Club held the event free to the public.
Horne plays in North American Championship
Centre assistant men's soccer coach, David Horne, recently returned from the North American Championships in Stockton, California. He featured in a runner - up finish in the Premier Arena Soccer League's (PASL) North American Championships, which included Canadian, American, and Mexican national champions. Coach Horne also serves as a lecture staff with our summer camps.
Recent Ice Storms
A significant amount of class days have been missed due to the winter ice storms that hit the area. Fortunately we moved the dates for the Junior School back a week for this summer. Yet, if there is still concern about a conflict with our Junior Camp dates and when school ends for the summer, rest assured that we will refund 100% of what is paid if school extends into the week of June 8, 2009.
St. Petersburg, Florida Clinic
Recently, a clinic was held for U-17 and U-18 players from the Strictly Soccer Club based in St. Petersburg, Florida. One of Florida's premier clubs, the clinic was well recieved and proved helpful as Strictly Soccer geared up for a competitive run of winter / spring showcases.
The sessions focused on a technical development build up with the Kwik Goal TOMS System and progressed into a full field session focused on changing the point of attack.
